How would your friends describe you?
Creative, hard working, obsessed with music, energetic, curious, trustworthy, sensitive, thoughtful, social, thrives on challenge, wants to inspire & help people and have a good time along the way!

When and where are/were you most happy/ happiest?
Teaching classes and training instructors. Spending time with my family. Out with friends listening to my favorite bands.

Do you have a motto?
Several!
“If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.”
“Follow your passion and you create a meaningful life.”
“Do the best you can with what you have right now.”

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Ain't no such thing! Nothing is perfect.

But, I would define happiness as being able to enjoy the journey - learning from our setbacks, being grateful for what we have, celebrating our accomplishments, giving back to others and the community, loving & being loved unconditionally.

All that said, I would also take a Mojito on a Caribbean island, toes in the sand and uninterrupted time to devour a page-turning novel. That would be perfect happiness for a few hours!

What is the trait your most admire in others?
The ability to make people laugh. The ability to inspire people to believe in themselves. Risk takers & innovators. Creativity. Decisiveness. Passion. Insight.

Who are your role models?
See above. Anyone who displays those traits I very much admire.

Also, any successful teacher/ instructor has had inspirational teachers or instructors who paved their path and gave them a vision. I am grateful to all of my teachers and instructors who modeled exceptional teaching and made me love learning and inspiring others so much that I made a career out of it.

What’s your greatest joy?
Tough one to narrow down to just one! Anything that requires me to be fully present and in the moment (such as skiing, tennis, teaching, reading, writing) challenging myself to develop and improve my skills.

Oh, and my sons when they make me laugh with their funny expressions, insights or dance moves!

And - See 'perfect happiness' above!

What was your favorite job?
I got my favorite job right now!

What is your most treasured possession?
My sons! They are mine for now :).

What can’t you live without?
Love & music.

Do you have a tattoo?
I wish! I have always wanted a tattoo. But, I am fearful of needles and fearful of their permanence. What if I changed my mind?!

How would you describe your personal style outside the studio?
Pretty similar to my personal style in the studio. My job requires me to give it all I have got - so, from work ethic to personality I am pretty consistently me in and out of the studio.

What’s your favorite belt-it-out song?
“Don't Stop Believing” by Journey

If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?
I don't want to retire yet! I love what I do.

Which actress would play you in the movie about your life?  And what would the movie title be?
Reese Witherspoon and “Rhode to Joy”!
