What’s one accomplishment you’re most proud of?
Completing my first triathlon (in my mid-thirties) after having had three kids and never having swam much at all growing up.
My second, truth be told, is going through the JoyRide training and auditions. I went outside my comfort zone and I have never regretted doing so. Thank you, JoyRide, for making me stronger and enabling me to pay it forward!
If your life were a song, what would the title be?
If you could have your favorite song lyrics tattooed on you, what would they be?
If it were lyrics from my favorite song, then it would be, "Come sail away with me." If it were my favorite lyrics, I would have to say, "Take your passion and make it happen." (This question is so hard because I love lyrics!)
Which quality/qualities do you most admire in others?
Sincerity, kindness, sense of humor and hard-working
What was the best advice someone ever gave you?
Practice what you preach and be true to you.
What is your most treasured possession?
MY FAMILY. The most treasured thing I own is my grandmother's ring. She was my best friend, my roommate growing up, and my maid of honor in my wedding. I wear the ring to keep her near me.
What’s your idea of perfect happiness?
How would your friends describe you?
Dependable, creative and silly
Do you have a favorite charity?
To say that I have one FAVORITE charity would be difficult, because truthfully, there is not one that comes my way that I do not support. My heart goes out to ALL those less fortunate then myself and to those trying to help others. I support those in need in three ways: giving of my time, making a donation and praying for them. This trio makes me feel like I am really consciously supporting the cause. I believe they help, and I like helping.
