Starting off a new year is always exciting and scary at the same time. This year, thanks to the progress I made in the past 10 weeks shaking off my baby bump and reminding my muscles that they serve a purpose, I feel ready to attack this year. I took the opportunity to indulge in the holiday cookies and egg nog and now I am ready to work it all off, plus the remaining 20 baby pounds. I am focused, I am determined and I am excited. JoyRide has given me the greatest gift by preparing a program for me, which is the hard part. All I have to do is show up and clean up my eating habits a bit - right? But once I show up, I have to really be present to work my hardest, and not just sit there looking pretty in my new Lululemon outfits my husband spoiled me with for Christmas. If I have this time set aside, and I have the opportunity to finally be happy with my body after 13 months of creating a little person who controlled my expanding waist line, then I better make it worth it. I would be so disappointed to have worked 6 days a week for 12 weeks and end up not getting the results I wanted. I have the chance now to look and feel as good as possible and I plan on making that happen by putting all of me in these next few weeks. So watch out if you see me doing my distracting head banging on the bike. Or as one other spinner once called me after class, I look like "a little bunny on crack."
